A HOME in Stroud has been closed due to repeated anti-social behaviour.
The property in College Road, Paganhill has been closed for three months by authorities.
The order was submitted by police and officially granted during a hearing at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on November 7.
Penalties for breaching the court order include a fine or a period of imprisonment.
According to section 80 of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, a Magistrates' Court can make a closure order only if it is satisfied that:
- a person has engaged, or is likely to engage, in disorder, antisocial or criminal behaviour on the premises
- the use of the premises is, or is likely to be, associated with disorder or nuisance to members of the public
- the order is necessary to prevent the occurrence, or reoccurrence, of the disorder, nuisance or antisocial/criminal behaviour
