POLICE have increased patrols in the town centre and on the canal towpath as part of efforts to curb anti-social behaviour.
Officers say they have been clamping down on anti-social behaviour and street drinking in the town.
This includes increasing foot patrols across the area, making arrests and issuing anti-social behaviour injunctions.
As part of Operation Ash, which identifies ASB hotspots across the county, police and have increased foot patrols and conducted regular joint patrols with Stroud District Council in the town centre and at the canal towpath at Wallbridge.
Working with Stroud Safe, Stroud District Council and Solace, officers say obtained an anti-social behaviour injunction (ASBI) against a 56-year-old male from the town.
Police have recently arrested a 14-year-old for offences relating to anti-social behaviour.
She has been released on bail while inquiries continue.
Anti-social behaviour contracts have also been given to three people
ASB covers a variety of unacceptable activity, such as vandalism, graffiti, nuisance neighbours and intimidating behaviour.
Anti-social behaviour can ruin lives and create an environment where more serious crime can take hold.
