RETROSPECTIVE plans for works at a Gloucestershire social club have been withdrawn.
Proposals had been submitted to Stroud District Council to build a retaining wall at the Carlton Club in London Road, Stroud.
The planning application which was submitted in September by then club chairman Nick Housden also included new fencing and a patio to form an outdoor seating area.
The work was done and completed in June this year and it is understood to have been done in time for The UEFA European Football Championships.
However, the scheme was withdrawn on November 5.
A notice says the planning application has been pulled after a request for it to be withdrawn.
Mr Housden, who is a County Councillor for Stonehouse, had assumed the role of chairman and manager in March 2023 of the former Conservative Club in London Road.
However, he resigned as Carlton Club chairman last week.
He is currently suspended by the Conservative group at Shire Hall and denies any wrongdoing.
