A KEY road in the Stroud area has been closed by police amid a report of a lorry hitting a tree.
Toadsmoor Road, which links Brimscombe to Eastcombe and Bussage near Stroud, was closed when a SNJ reporter visited the top of the road at around 5.45pm today (Monday, November 4).
A police sign advising of a road closure was present.
At 4.15pm, bus operator Stagecoach West had posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) that its 67 bus service was to be diverted.
"67 will be on diversion from Stroud via Bisley to get to Bussage until further notice," a spokesperson said.
"This is due to a lorry hitting a tree."
A motorist using the Old Neighbourhood road as a diversion this evening told the SNJ it was 'extremely congested, especially with the temporary traffic lights at Dark Lane'.
