A FAMILY BUSINESS is the latest new trader to join the Five Valleys Shopping Centre.
Baked for You was formed 18 months ago, by husband-and-wife team Mandy Turner and Alan Fender – the Stroud couple have built up a following for their blondies, brownies and cookie pies at pop ups and markets across the region.
Now they are trading seven days a week in their new permanent pitch at the Five Valleys Market and Food Hall – adding a range of new items to their menu including freak shakes and waffle wands.
Mandy and Alan were joined by their three-year-old son Cooper for a special ribbon cutting to mark the new venture’s launch at the weekend.
Mandy said: “We started Bakes for You last year which was a natural extension of our Gifted for You business – and we have just built up such a lovely following.
"When the unit came up at Five Valleys it really felt like the right time and location – it is a fantastic family of local businesses and everyone supports each other.
“It’s fantastic to see how much the improvements at Five Valleys have transformed the town and we are really pleased that our growing business is part of that.”
Centre Manager at Five Valleys Erica Malpass said: “Baked for You have been a really popular regular trader at our markets and pop ups over the last year – so it’s fantastic to see them grow and expand and join the market line up here at Five Valleys.
“We’re really proud of the great traders, chefs, bakers and makers we have here at Five Valleys – there really is something for everyone, and we wish Alan and Mandy all the very best in their new venture.”
