PUPILS stepped back in time to mark a special anniversary.
Hopelands Prep School & Nursery recently celebrated its 70th anniversary in a unique and engaging way, as pupils travelled back to the 1950s for a day full of fun, learning, and nostalgia.
The milestone event commemorated the rich history of the school while also embracing its bright future.
Headteacher Mrs. Boix expressed her delight at the enthusiasm shown by the children:
She said: "It has been wonderful to see the children explore the past through their lessons.
"From extracting DNA from strawberries to journeying to Narnia through a clock steeped in history, the activities have sparked curiosity and excitement."
One of the highlights of the day was a visit from Paddington, who delighted the pupils with marmalade sandwiches.
Adding to the festivities, former pupils returned to share their memories, with one remarking: "There is still that special something about Hopelands."
