AN APPLICATION has been lodged by Stonehouse Town FC to change its premises licence.
The club want to extend the times that alcohol can be sold as well as its opening hours.
If approved, alcohol could be sold between 12pm and 11pm from Monday to Thursday, between 12pm and 11.45pm on Friday and Saturday plus from 12pm to 10.30pm on a Sunday.
Currently, alcohol can be sold between 6pm and 11pm from Monday to Friday, between 12pm and 11pm on a Saturday and between 12pm and 10pm on a Sunday.
If approved, the club could be open between 12pm and 11.30pm from Monday to Thursday, between 12pm and 12.15am on Friday and Saturday plus from 12pm to 11pm on a Sunday.
Currently, it can open from 8.30am to 11pm from Monday to Saturday and from 9am to 10pm on a Sunday.
According to a written document as part of the application, these changes are the club wants to be able to open at a lunchtime as they have been asked to host wakes and other events there.
They also want to extend the hours on Fridays and Saturday evenings to accommodate parties booked within the premises.
The document read: "We would like our opening hours to go from lunch time daily as we have been asked to open for wakes and other such events.
"We would also like Friday and Saturday opening hours to go to 11.45pm.
"This is for any party we have booked within the premises.
"This will only be used for such events, not a general thing."
