KYLE McAllister netted a late winner as Forest Green came from behind to beat struggling Braintree 2-1 and move joint top of the National League.
Braintree, with just two points from their six away games prior to Saturday’s contest, took the lead in the 10th minute through Finley Wilkinson.
However, Harry Cardwell levelled 10 minutes before half-time, finishing off after McAllister’s effort had been saved.
After Christian Doidge hit the post for the promotion hopefuls, McAllister won it for Forest Green in the 87th minute and moved them level on points with pacesetters Barnet – who head the table on goal difference.
