AN update has been released about a small bistro in Wotton.
Good Food Kitchen & Bar located in Wotton’s high street has introduced a unique menu - which changes every month.
“Our menu is small, meaning absolutely no throwaway dishes”, said owner Fred Hulls.
“Whether a Korean beef barbecue dish, our unique tofu preparation or an Italian classic, we ensure every part of the plate brings something to the party.
“While our global barbecue menu in July was a guest favourite, people asked about the tacos that were on the menu the month before.
“So we thought… let’s host Taco Tuesday!”
The eatery has hosted two sell-out Taco Tuesday events, with this month’s, held on October 29, being the last for 2024.
Tacos are a big part of California culture, particularly in Southern California, including Los Angeles where Fred and his husband Jeremy Hulls-McGovern lived for almost a decade.
Fred - who is originally from the Stroud area - previously ran Fred's Bar which debuted during the Stroud Fringe Festival in 2015.
“My absolute favourite food in the world is tacos”, added Jeremy.
“You get a little of everything in one perfect bite and it reminds me of so many good times.
“It’s been such a pleasure sharing this food with our guests from Wotton, Stroud and beyond, and when our first Taco Tuesday event in August sold out I couldn’t have been happier!”
Good Food Kitchen & Bar usually hosts Taco Tuesday on the last Tuesday of every month.
The pair say November and December are set to be their busiest ever months, so have decided that October will be the last Taco Tuesday for the year.
Fred said: “There are only so many hours in the day, and we will never compromise our core offering for additional events.
“We’ll start Taco Tuesday again in the new year when traditionally restaurants are a bit quieter.”
Good Food Kitchen & Bar is open Thursday to Saturday for lunch and dinner.
