NOSTALGIA this week looks at some iconic images of Stroud and the surrounding district.
Chalford looks glorious in the picture taken from Cowcombe Hill.
Health and safety didn't seem to matter in the picture of a man on a roof in Dudbridge Hill while a demolition was in progress in 1987.
The third picture is of Nailsworth Branch Railway.
The passenger service was suspended in 1947 as a response to the post-war national fuel emergency, but the suspension was shortly made a permanent closure.
The local goods service continued until 1966 from which time the line was completely closed.
All of these photographs are taken from the Facebook group Stroud Area Photographs and Cotswold Picture Postcards.
