185 PROPERTIES near Stroud were without power this afternoon on a day which has seen a yellow thunderstorm warning in place for the area.
National Grid said that an incident was reported at 2:51pm today, Friday, September 20, with 185 properties off supply.
A map provided by the utility company indicated that the issue was affecting an area in and around Sapperton.
The company said that there was a fault on its high-voltage network in the area.
“The incident was raised at 2.51pm this afternoon, affecting 185 properties,” a spokesperson for National Grid said.
“We successfully restored all supplies in the area by 4.07pm this afternoon.
“We are sorry for any inconvenience that was caused by the power cut.”
The Met Office currently has a yellow thunderstorm warning in place for a section of England and Wales including the Stroud area.
This warning is in place from 12pm to 8pm.
“While many places will remain dry, thunderstorms and heavy showers could cause some disruption on Friday in a few places,” a spokesperson for the weather and climate service said.
