A SPEEDING driver has been banned and must pay out more than £500 for breaking a 30mph limit.
Repeat offender Matthew Caven, aged 40, was caught driving a SEAT over the speed limit on the A38 Quedgeley bypass on September 6 last year.
According to the court register, the speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yards.
Caven, of Churchill Road, Bristol, pleaded guilty via the single justice procedure and was sentenced at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on September 5.
He was fined £307 with a £123 surcharge plus £90 costs - meaning he must fork out a total of £520.
In addition, he was banned from driving for two months due to repeat offending and four penalty points were imposed.
