A KEY Stroud road will be closed for four nights while it is resurfaced.
The stretch of London Road between Waitrose roundabout and the Dr Newton's Way roundabout will be closed between 7pm and 7am from Sunday, October 6 until Wednesday, October 9.
An official diversion route will be in place which will be signposted.
A Gloucestershire County Council spokesperson said: "If you normally drive into or out of this area during the hours when the closure is in place, we ask you to make alternative arrangements.
"Our resurfacing programme is dependent on several factors.
It can be affected by things like heavy rain, changes in temperatures as well as plant breakdown and unforeseen technical issues that arise once has begun.
"All this means scheme dates and details can change at short notice.
"We appreciate this is inconvenient and we will keep our online schedule and social media feeds updated with more details if changes happen."
