PUB regulars went the whole hog in aid of a good cause inspired by a local legend’s triumph over prostate cancer.
Saturday’s annual Charity Beer Crawl organised by the Hog at Horsley raised an astonishing £1,500 for Prostate Cancer UK.
Funny costumes were worn as walkers headed off from the Hog on a round trip to the George Inn, the Fresh Standard Brew Company, the Old Fleece, the King’s Head at Kingscourt, the Prince Albert, the Bear of Rodborough, the Black Horse and Waterloo House
The charity was chosen because Hog regular Pat Milston was recently given the all clear from the condition.
Pat said: “I just wanted to say a huge huge thank you to everyone, whether you walked or made a donation, or both, you totally humbled and inspired me.
“We are so incredibly privileged to live in our wonderful village with its amazing pub, landlord, manager and fellow Hog-goers.”
