A KEY road has reopened after machinery fell off off a vehicle.
The incident happened on the Bath Road near The Clothiers Arms at around 8.55am this morning, Friday, August 16.
It is understood no one was injured, police say.
Officers closed the road while the machinery was removed from the scene - it eventually reopened at 10.50am.
A spokesperson from Gloucestershire Police said: “Police were called to a report of machinery falling from a vehicle on Bath Road, Stroud.
“The machinery struck another vehicle and is believed to have caused minor damage.
“The second vehicle had left the scene before police arrived.
“Nobody is understood to have been injured.
“Officers closed Bath Road while the machinery was removed from the scene.
“It reopened at 10.50am.”
Meanwhile, bus operator Stagecoach said in a statement that the 63 service was temporarily diverted via Dudbridge and Cainscross during the closure.
