A DRAMATIC photo and video show flames raging and thick smoke billowing from the Market Tavern in Stroud.
A blaze broke out at the legendary former pub just before 6pm yesterday, Wednesday.
This photo and video by Alexander Ponting show a single-storey extension at the back of the building in Union Street well-alight, highlighting how easily the blaze could have spread to the main part of the site.
The pub - which has been closed for 10 years - was the legendary Stroud venue the Pelican or Peli in the 1980s and 1990s.
Four fire crews attended the incident.
No one was injured.
