FIRE crews are tackling a blaze at a Stroud pub.
Smoke is billowing from the garden area of the Market Tavern in Union Street.
At the time of this report (6.15pm) police had shut access to Cornhill at the London Road junction.
Two fire engines could be seen in Cornhill as crews tackled the incident.
A large plume of smoke could be seen billowing from the garden area.
Smoke was pouring over the garden wall into Union Street.
The Market Tavern has been vacant for several years and the building is unoccupied.
For many years the pub was the legendary Stroud venue the Pelican.
