A WOODLAND holiday park in Gloucestershire has unveiled a pet-friendly cafe and indoor pet area.
The Wild Boar Coffee cafe is in a newly-restored building in the central area of Whitemead Forest Park in Parkend near Lydney.
The cafe features indoor and outdoor seating, complete with water bowls and dog biscuit bowls.
Visitors can also choose from a selection of toasties, paninis, and cakes, as well as beverages including coffee, tea and soft drinks.
The new addition follows the launch of a doggy playpark at Whitemead last year and builds on the Forest of Dean site’s commitment to being pet-friendly.
Different dog-friendly accommodation is available at the park, including log cabins, glamping pods, lodges and apartments.
Commenting on the new café, Mandy Watkins, general manager at Whitemead Forest Park, said: “We are thrilled to unveil this brand-new space for pets and their owners to enjoy together.
“We hope Wild Boar Coffee cafe will improve the experience for all guests bringing their pets to Whitemead, providing the perfect place for visitors to kick back and relax with all the family, including their four-legged friends.”
Whitemead has launched an autumn sale, with prices starting from £64 a night for a four-night midweek break in a Premier Apartment for stays between November 1 and 29 this year.
Stays must be booked by September 9, when the autumn sale ends.
