A MAN has been arrested after a hit and run crash in Minchinhampton.
Gloucestershire Police said a car collided with a wall in Cirencester Road’s junction with Butt Street, before the driver fled the scene at around 11.40pm on Friday, August 9 .
A man aged in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Officers have now urged anyone who witnessed the collision or saw a black Seat Leon being driven beforehand to get in touch.
A police spokesperson said: ”We were called shortly after 11.40pm on Friday following reports of a single vehicle collision.
“It was reported that a car had collided with a wall before the driver fled the scene.
“One of the occupants was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for treatment to serious injuries and several others were taken to other hospitals with lesser injuries.
“Officers have conducted enquiries and made an arrest in connection with the incident.
“A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and remains in police custody at this time.
“Officers from the Roads Policing Unit are asking anyone who was in the area and witnessed the collision or saw a black Seat Leon being driven beforehand to get in contact.”

Police have told the SNJ they gave the wrong location about the above incident.
The press office previously stated the crash happened in Nailsworth, when it actually happened in Minchinhampton.
