A CHARITY charity flea market selling all different kinds of second-hand goods is to become a regular fixture after organisers said the first one was a 'runaway success.'

Hundreds of bargain-hunters attended the first event in July – and now the market will be returning on Sunday, August 18, Sunday, September 15, and Sunday, October 13.

The event, held between 11am and 2pm, gives visitors the chance to take a look around stalls selling everything from vintage ornaments and clothing to bric-a-brac.

Kelly Winkworth, assistant centre manager at Five Valleys, said: “Our first event was a huge success, and it was brilliant to see so many shoppers and stallholders support the event.

“That is why we have decided to make the flea market a regular event here at Five Valleys.

We would like to appeal for anyone who wants to take a stall at any of the upcoming events, in particular the next one in August, to please come forward and get in touch.

“This is an ideal opportunity to have a root around in your house to see if there is anything that could be sold on.”

The flea market will also support Allsorts, which provides a range of activities for children and young people with additional needs and disabilities, as well as support groups for the whole family.

Based at their Activity Hub in the Brunel Mall in Stroud, they provide a community where friendship and memories are made and plenty of fun is to be had through their huge amount of extra-curricular activities including toddler groups, youth clubs and sports activities.

Spaces cost only £10, with 50 per cent of this going to the Allsorts charity. (Any profit made by attendees will be their own).

The event will be held on the top level of the multi-storey car park.

Only part of the top level will be used for the market and the rest of the multi-storey will be open as normal for visitors to use.

The entrance and exits will also remain open as normal.

Free parking will also be given to all confirmed market traders (car registration will need to be provided).

Due to car park restrictions, the max height for vehicles is two metres.

You will need to bring your own table.
