Temporary road closures in the Stroud district

The road closures are all posted online at Stroudnewsandjournal.co.uk under the Public Notices tab on the homepage.

They include the following notices:

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close the B4060 Bradley Road from its junction with Westridge Road to outside the property known as No. 48 for a total distance of approximately 60 metres.

The reason for the closure is for pipe renewal works by Severn Trent Water.

The said road is expected to be closed from July 28 only or until the works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has also made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close and restrict part of the C198 Wishanger Lane Road, from its junction with B4070 Bucks Head Farm Cranham to Bulls Pitch Road to it junction with Calf Way, for a total distance of approximately 1000 metres.

The reason for the closure is for tree cutting works. The said road is expected to be closed between 8:00hrs and 16:00hrs on July 30 2024 only or until the works have been completed.

Alternative Route - as signed on site. Emergency access will be maintained. Pedestrian access will not be maintained due to the tree cutting overhead making it unsafe for pedestrians to walk underneath.

Gloucestershire County Council intend to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 407548 Field Road from its junction with Spring Hill to its junction with Bowbridge Lane for a distance of approximately 251 metres. The reason for the closure is for drainage CCTV works. The road is expected to be closed from 09:30hrs on August 12 until 15:30hrs on August 13 only or until the works have been completed.

Gloucestershire County Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close part of 404401 Elmcote Lane from its junction with The Street Coaley to Cam and Dursley Railway Station to outside of the property known as 'Elmcote Farms' for a distance of approximately 900 metres.

The reason for the closure is for maintenance to a culvert and new kerbing works.

The road and the footway are expected to be closed from July 29 2024 until August 2 2024 only or until the works have been completed.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, also intends to make an Order to temporarily close the B4008 Westward Road, Ebley from its junction with Chapel Lane to outside the property known as 'Greenways' for a total distance of approximately 250 metres. The reason for the closure is for water works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 09:30hrs on August 12 until 15:30hrs on 16th August 16 only or until the works have been completed.

Alternative Route - as signed on site.

Emergency access, and pedestrian access to premises on or next to the road, will be maintained.

Gloucestershire County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily close part of the 407504 Bisley Road, including the footway, from outside the property known as No. 122 to its junction with Valley View Road for a distance of approximately 90 metres.

The reason for the said closure is to install a new footway chamber. The said road and footway are expected to be closed from 09:30hrs on August 11 until 15:30hrs on August 13 2024 only.

Alternative Route - as signed on site. Emergency access and pedestrian access to adjoining properties, will be maintained.

Gloucestershire County Council intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close part of the C209 Oldends Lane from its junction with Brunel Way to outside the property known as No. 22 for a distance of approximately 250 metres.

The reason for the closure is for barrier maintenance works.

The road is expected to be closed from 23:00hrs on August 12 2024 until 05:00hrs on August 13 only or until the works have been completed.

Alternative Route - as signed on site. Emergency access will be maintained.

Gloucestershire County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily close part of the C213 Park End Road from outside the property known as 'The Mill House' to outside the property known as 'Gwithian' for a distance of approximately 130 metres.

The reason for the closure is for works to install a new water connection.

The road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on August 14 until 18:00hrs on August 16 only or until the works have been completed.
