TWO Dursley Town girls teams have been celebrating recent successes.
During June and July this year two girls teams from Dursley Town competed in tournaments where the success continued.
The u10 girls won the Prestbury Girls tournament and the u14 girls came runners up after a successful season where they finished league winners.
Dursley Town Girls Football Club is a well established girls football club with over 150 girls participating in weekly football.
The club train on the local recreational ground “The Rec” on Friday evenings during spring/summer and Rednock School 3G during the winter.
They also participate in weekly matches on Sunday mornings from September-April participating in the Gloucester Girls League and Bristol Girls League.
A spokesperson for the club said: "Over the last few seasons, the club has grown massively with the interest in women’s/girls football increasing.
"The teams throughout the club have been very successful.
"Not only developing players within football but allowing them to enjoy football and socialise with friends."
