MORE roadworks are due to take place across the area. 

Gloucestershire County Council says its Highways team is due to start resurfacing work soon. 

Works include several closures: 

  • Nympsfield Road, Nailsworth will be closed between 9.30am to 3.30pm from Monday, July 29 until Monday, August 19 
  • Both Kingscourt Lane and Court Way in Lightpill will be closed between 9am to 3pm from Thursday, August 8 until Tuesday, August 27 
  • The A419 Bristol Road, Stonehouse will be closed between 8pm to 7am from Friday, August 16 until Wednesday, August 28 

The roadworks will not take place on bank holidays or on weekends, officials say.

A spokesperson from Gloucestershire County Council said: “Our resurfacing programme is dependent on several factors. 

“It can be affected by things like; heavy rain, changes in temperatures and other weather events as well as plant breakdown and unforeseen technical issues that arise once work has begun. 

“All this means scheme dates and details can change at short notice. 

“We appreciate this is inconvenient, and we will keep our online schedule and our social media feeds updated with more details if changes happen.”
