TWO people have been arrested after a drugs raid in Stroud this morning. 

Officers arrested a man, aged 51, and a woman, aged 48, at an address in the Mount Pleasant area off Bisley Old Road today, Thursday, July 25. 

During the raid, a quantity of suspected Class A drugs was found within the property.

Police say the warrant was executed following reports from members of the public about suspicious activity and anti-social behaviour. 

The arrests were made by officers from Stroud Vanguard and Neighbourhood Policing teams.

A spokesperson from Gloucestershire Police said: “A 51-year-old man from Stroud was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and currently remains in police custody. 

“A 48-year-old woman who was also at the address was arrested as she was wanted on a court warrant.”
