POLICE have issued an alert after a Mercedes was stolen near a pub on Minchinhampton Common.

Officers say the vehicle - a grey Mercedes-Benz C-Class - was stolen between 7pm on Sunday, July 14 to 8.15am on Monday, July 15. 

According to the community alert, the car contained a golf trolley, golf clubs and a golf watch valuing approximately £4,400. 

Police say the incident happened approximately 100 metres away from The Old Lodge pub.
