GLOUCESTERSHIRE County Council has posted a number of temporary road closures in the Stroud district.

All of these road closure proposals are available to view under the Public Notices tab on the homepage of Stroudnewsandjournal.co.uk

Among the temporary road closures are:

Temporary road closure of Northfields Road in Nailsworth from outside the property known as 'Railton' to outside the property known as 'Windermere' for a total distance of approximately 50 metres.

The reason for the closure is for water apparatus repair and maintenance works.

The said road is expected to be closed from July 18 until July 20 only or until the works have been completed.

Bradley Road Wotton Under Edge parish Stroud District is also proposed to close temporarily.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order to temporarily close the B4060 Bradley Road from its junction with Westridge Road to outside the property known as No. 48 for a total distance of approximately 60 metres. The reason for the closure is for pipe renewal works by Severn Trent Water.

The road is expected to be closed on July 28 only or until the works have been completed.

Wishanger Lane in Miserden is also being temporarily closed from its junction with B4070 Bucks Head Farm Cranham to Bulls Pitch Road to its junction with Calf Way, for a total distance of approximately 1000 metres. The reason for the said closure is for tree cutting works.

The road is expected to be closed between 8:00hrs and 16:00hrs on 30th July 2024 only or until the works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

There will be no stopping or waiting permitted throughout the duration of the works.

The temporary closure of Elmcote Lane in Coaley is also being proposed.

Gloucestershire County Council intend to temporarily close part of Elmcote Lane from its junction with The Street Coaley to Cam and Dursley Railway Station to outside of the property known as 'Elmcote Farms' for a distance of approximately 900 metres.

The reason for the closure is for maintenance to a culvert and new kerbing works.

The road is expected to be closed from the July 29 until August 2 only or until the works have been completed.

The Temporary road closure of Cliff Cottage to the Cottage road in Chalford is also being proposed.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to temporarily close the 401284 Cliff Cottage to The Cottage Road from outside the property known as 'Catherine Cottage' to outside the property known as 'The Cottage' for a total distance of approximately 100 metres. The reason for the said closure is for works by Severn Trent Water.

The said road is expected to be closed from 8:00hrs on July 29 until 16:00hrs on July 31 only or until the works have been completed.
