THE ORGANISERS of Stroud Show have thanked those who attended and made it a 'day to remember'.

Taking place at Stratford Park on Saturday and after last year's severe storms forced the cancellation of the Stroud Show for public safety reasons, organisers were determined to make the event 'bigger and better' this year.

The theme was “Biscuits”, in memory of disability campaigner Molly Pegler, who died in 2022.

Mum Rachel Pegler wrote ‘The Biscuits’ books for Molly, and they were in the children’s tent.

Opening the show at noon were the new Stroud MP Simon Opher and the town council mayor Tony Davey.

The 154th Stroud Show was an annual celebration of the skills, talents, and caring connections of our unique Stroud communities.

At the event there was also steam engines, tractors, vintage cars, shire horses, Punch and Judy, funfair, Bubble entertainers, Art and stories tent for the kids, youth bands and entertainment, horticulture and craft competitions for all.

A spokesperson for the organisers said: "Thank you Stroud.

"Huge thanks to all who came along, joined in and made it a day to remember.

"To all those who volunteered, you are just real stars,

"To our performers- you were all amazing and to the team who worked so hard to make this happen with no reward other than the joy of families having a great day - you are the best."
