OVERNIGHT road closures are causing disruption in Stroud tonight.

These pictures show the closure of part of the A419 London Road which is causing disruption for drivers.

It is shut in both directions for resurfacing from the Dr Newton's Way roundabout to Thrupp Lane from tonight, Monday, for a week until Monday, July 15 between 8pm and 7am.

Drivers face a long diversion via Bath Road, Rodborough Hill and across the common.

Motorists should note there is no entry to London Road from Butterrow Hill as the Bowbridge junction is totally shut.

In addition, Park Road is also shut along along with part of Bowbridge Lane near the Bowbridge junction.

The work is part of a programme across the area by Gloucestershire County Council's highways department.

Work include several overnight closures as follows: 

The A4171 Stratford Road in Stroud is closed from Sunday, July 7 to Tuesday, July 9 between 7pm to 7am.

The A419 London Road near Bowbridge is closed from Monday, July 8 to Monday, July 15 between 8pm to 7am

The A4135 Woodmancote road in Dursley will be closed from Tuesday, July 9 to Saturday, July 20 between 8pm to 7am

The A4135 Dursley Road in Cam will be closed from Friday, July 19 to Monday, July 29 between 8pm to 7am.
