STROUD Pride was celebrated with live music, drag performances and stalls.

The event, which took place on Saturday at Bank Gardens, is in its sixth year.

This came just as the community group Stroud Pride celebrated receiving almost £5,000 in funding.NeonStroud Pride has received £4,760 in National Lottery funding to support its work for the local LGBTQ+ community.

The group say this money would be towards its this year’s Pride Picnic event plus next years, with regular events throughout the year for LGBTQ+ people.

Lucy Marks from Kings StanleyStroud Pride has been running since 2018 and is entirely volunteer-run.
