FAMILY fashion retailer Peacocks has opened its latest new store at Stroud’s Five Valleys Shopping Centre to a crowd of waiting shoppers.

The first ten shoppers were treated to a special £50 golden ticket to spend in store and the very first customer in the queue, Karon Vizor-Beard joined the Mayor of Stroud Cllr Tony Davey to cut the ribbon.

Karon was joined by her friend Lucy Ward who both arrived two hours before the store opened to secure their golden tickets.

Karon said: “It’s great to have Peacocks back in Stroud its definitely what the town needs and we’re really pleased to see the new store open.

"We decided to come down early for a golden ticket.”
