FAMILIES flocked to a quirky fundraising trail at the weekend.
The Eastcombe Gnome Hunt - which was hosted by the Eastcombe School Association - took place on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
Classic children’s stories and fairy tales were the themes for this year’s gnome hunt.
Organisers of the event have taken to social media to thank everyone for attending, adding that it was 'so lovely to see many smiley faces'.
The post read: "Thank you to everyone that came and supported our event!
"We hope you all had a wonderful time!
"It has been lovely seeing so many smiley faces.
"Thank you to our lovely villagers for the wonderful cakes that you donated!
"We would also like to thank our wonderful sponsors, we couldn’t put on an event like this without your support.
"A big thank you to Boho Bakery for supplying lovely refreshments.
"The raffle and guess the weight of the cake was a huge success!
"Thank you to all the wonderful businesses that donated amazing prizes!
"We are so grateful to you all!
"Our next thank you goes to the wonderful staff at Eastcombe Primary.
"We really do appreciate all the time that you gave up this weekend.
"To the parents and grandparents we would like to thank you!
"Dressing up as gnomes, running the games, serving refreshments and entertaining the children has been amazing.
"Finally without the team spirit from the ESA this event wouldn’t be possible. The work and dedication that goes into creating this gnome hunt is incredible.
"Well done team you are awesome."
