THE FIVE Valleys Shopping Centre will host a full day of footy-themed fun as the Euros kick off this week.

Visitors are welcome to come and join in the fun – and hopefully the sunshine - for the ‘Euros Sunday Funday’ on Sunday, June 23.

Taking place in the courtyard area, you can test your footy skills as part of the centre’s keepy uppy challenge.

Open to all ages and running from 11am to noon, participants will be challenged to see how many kick-ups they can complete.

Those taking part will receive medals and small prizes, with the overall winner taking home a trophy.

Cones and a net will be set up for people to practice their footy skills between 11am and 2pm.

Kelly Winkworth, assistant centre manager at Five Valleys, said: “We’re all really excited for the tournament to begin and we thought hosting our own footy-themed event would be the perfect way to celebrate the summer of football.

“Come along, show off your keepy uppy skills and join in the fun!”

In addition, you can soak up all the live action at Stroud Bowl as the alley’s Bar 300 will be showing matches live on the big screen.

This is just one of a whole host of fun events planned at the Stroud-based shopping centre throughout the summer.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a bite to eat and a drink later into the evening until 7pm at the centre as part of the recently launched Late Night Market on Thursdays.

The first event, held on Thursday, June 6, was a 'roaring success' said a spokesperson for the shopping centre.
