STROUD Camera Club have selected images of the year.
In the final competition before the summer break, Stroud Camera Club’s Image Of The Year Competition produced some cracking images giving the judge, Colin Walls from Malvern, a tough job to decide the winners in both the Digitally Projected and Print image sections.
Two images in each section scored the maximum 20 points and Colin had to choose the winning images. Many congratulations to René Cason for his winning image in the Print section “Arctic Tern Fishing” and the runner up was “Ripples” by Richard Atkinson. Very close with 19 points each were Roger Matthews with “Crested Hawk Eagle” and Trish Bloodworth’s “Mama Wag”
In the Digital Section, congratulations go to the winner, Trish Bloodworth, with her wonderfully expressive “Serious Friends.” Runner up was Mark Halling with his “Nesting Heron.” Again, very close behind with 19 points apiece were Mick West with “Crossing The Glass Bridge” and Leslie Holmes with her beautiful “Cheetah Family Portrait – Nashipai and Cubs.”
Very well done Trish and René who each won a John Lewis Voucher for their Images Of The Year.
Stroud Camera Club competitions start again with the new Season in September and all entries to this and all competitions for the last four years can be found at www.stroudcameraclub.co.uk/results
