It is time all of us looked at the Labour Party’s Local Energy Plans.
A Labour Government will invest £1 billion a year to support local authorities and communities to turbo-charge renewable energy projects like solar panels on council -owned land and buildings or community owned and led initiatives. Community energy has many benefits, including energy security, tackling fuel poverty, and creating new local jobs.
In Stroud there is a real appetite for this.
The local and national elections are the way to make all this happen.
This Government has choked off community energy in Stroud District by putting up numerous barriers such as impossible planning rules which a Labour Government will sort out.
Please take a look at Labour’s Local Energy Plans, which offer a very different future to the one we have now.
