MANY readers will have worked on the Concorde production line in Filton back in the day.
Concorde 216 made its first flight on April 20, 1979.
It was painted white and was registered as G-BFKX. Both it and the second last example (214, G-BFKW) were built with no customer order.
It had been hoped that either Singapore Airlines or British Caledonian would purchase them, but this did not happen. Eventually a deal was agreed to sell it to British Airways, along with 214.
Stroud Show is shown in all its glory in 1952 and Bibury in 1910 shows how much the place has changed over the last 100 years.
