A RESIDENT was jolted awake to a loud bang in the middle of the night after a tree fell on top of her car.
The large tree fell onto her black Volkswagen car - which was parked outside a property in Elmbank, Cheltenham Road, Pitchcombe near Stroud - on Sunday night, January 21.
The resident said the tree was from her neighbour's garden and had fallen into her driveway during the windy night.
She said: "I was awoken by a large bang during the night and discovered that our neighbour's tree had landed on our car.
"Fortunately no one was injured and it didn't fall across the busy A46."
