IT has been revealed the new Tesco Express store in Stroud is due to open in the “coming weeks”.
Work is currently underway to transform the shop - which used to be Halford’s - located in the Five Valleys Shopping Centre.
It comes as the store was granted a premises licence to sell alcohol between 8am and 10pm last month from Stroud District Council.
It is believed 20 new jobs will be created at the new store.
A Tesco spokesperson said this morning: “We’re excited to confirm that a new Tesco Express store in Stroud will open in the coming weeks.
“We will keep the local community updated with our plans as they progress and we look forward to serving them soon.”
