A MAN from Stonehouse has been sentenced for stalking a woman.
Christopher McLaughlin, aged 41, admitted stalking the woman during a hearing at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on November 22.
The offence - referred to on the court register as stalking without fear, alarm or distress - took place between July 15 and September 14 this year.
The court register states McLaughlin, of Midland Road, Stonehouse, sent excessive unwanted text messages and unwanted phone calls and sent a handwritten note.
He was ordered to pay a £154 surcharge plus £85 in costs - a total of £239.
He was given a suspended jail sentence of 14 weeks, suspended for 12 months.
A three-year restraining order was also imposed.
