STROUD Goodwill Evening returned to the town on Friday with the usual vibrant parade, stalls and entertainment.
An ocean-themed lantern procession through the town started at 6pm followed by a fire show in Bank Gardens.
There was a whole host of stalls, performers and family activities.
There was also live entertainment on the Sub Rooms forecourt plus a craft fair in the ballroom.
Over at St Laurence Church, bells rang from 6pm and the Christmas tree festival was on display with teas and refreshments.
The evening was also an opportunity for some late night shopping around the whole town with many shops staying open until 9pm
