PLANS ARE in the offing for a new convenience store in Stroud High Street.
An alcohol licence has been submitted to Stroud District Council regarding the empty unit at 5 High Street, next to Clarks.
The prospective owner in the application said they want to transform the empty unit, which was formerly a building society, into a 'state-of-the-art convenience store', selling chilled grocery products and an appropriate amount of alcohol.
According to the application, the prospective opening hours would be everyday between 6am and 11pm, the hours this licence would cover if it were approved.
