A NEW shop which has recently opened its doors is 'a dream come true', say owners.
Viral clothing brand Goose and Gander - which is based in Chipping Sodbury - has opened a store in Cribbs Causeway.
Co-owners Maz Hewish and Olly White, who are both originally from North Nibley and now live in Nailsworth, founded the brand a decade ago in 2013.
The new Cribbs shop is especially a full circle moment for Maz as she used to work as a shop assistant for Pandora in Cribbs.
She now runs her own store in the shopping complex neighbouring brands such as Skechers, Ernest Jones and Marks & Spencer.
The couple met at the former Rose Hill School in Alderley near Hillesley.
They set up G&G shortly after leaving secondary school, having turned down places at university.
The pair previously ran a store on Wotton high street for five years from 2013 before eventually closing in 2018 where the brand grew online.
From its current headquarters in Bowling Hill Business Park, the team designs and embroiders unisex baggy T-shirts, sweatshirts, fleeces, and hoodies.
Maz specialises in all things creative, including social media and photoshoots, while Olly handles business strategy, production, and website management.
The brand - which is especially popular with students - has also run multiple pop-ups across university campuses including in Cheltenham, Exeter, Bath and Portsmouth.
Olly said: “Opening the new store and seeing us next to the big brands gives me an extra boost of motivation and confidence.”
Maz added: “Showcasing the brand in a physical space allows us to offer a whole new customer experience.
“It comes with challenges but that's half the fun!”
You can find the new G&G shop at 36 Lower Ground, Cribbs Causeway.
