TONGIHT'S Christmas late-night shopping evening in Stroud will be making waves for families and traders alike.
The theme of Stroud Goodwill Evening tonight, Friday, December 1 is oceans.
There will be a whole host of stalls, performers and family activities with roads in the town centre closed to traffic between 5pm and 9pm.
An ocean-themed lantern procession through the town starts at the Sub Rooms at 6pm with Santa and pantomime characters followed by a fire show in Bank Gardens.
There will be live entertainment on the Sub Rooms forecourt from Jazz Friday and the Rock Choir plus a Flamenco display.
The upstairs bar will be open and there will be a craft fair in the ballroom and the café will also be open.
Over at St Laurence Church, bells will ring from 6pm and the Christmas tree festival will be on display with teas and refreshments.
As usual, shoppers can enjoy dozens of market stalls.
The traditional Christmas market at the Cornhill Square will have gifts and street food while over at the Shambles you will find the Red Bus Bar and the Five Valleys market open.
At Lansdown Hall, children can enjoy a show from the Cotswold Canal Trust at 7.30pm.
Entertainment around the town includes Lick It Back Sounds, the Tom Strickland Band, the Methodist Church Band and choirs.
