AN UPDATE has been released over the closure of a key road in Stroud.
Gloucestershire Highways say they are carrying out emergency drainage repairs in Stratford Road at the corner by the Tesco Superstore.
The road has been closed to drivers since Monday, October 30 and was due to reopen yesterday, Monday, November 6.
It is understood, however, works have been delayed due to “weather and onsite complications” and the reopening delayed.
It is now due to reopen on Friday, November 10 at 4.30pm.
The closure has caused traffic chaos on surrounding roads, which many drivers have labelled a "nightmare” on social media.
Multiple bus services have also been delayed due to congestion.
