A PRIMARY School in Stroud is closed today due to water supply issues.
Callowell Primary School is closed today following information it received from Severn Trent regarding works due to water supply issues.
Headteacher Louise Bennett said: "Callowell Primary School is closed today due to receiving information from Severn Trent this morning, concerning a major repair works to a main burst water pipe in the area.
"It stated that this had affected the school's supply and it was advised not to drink or use the water in the taps until they had recharged the system.
"They also confirmed that there was no guarantee that the supply would not be cut off during the day.
"Therefore, based on the information provided by Severn Trent, it was decided to close the school due to health and safety reasons for our pupils and staff at Callowell Primary and revert to online learning for today."
