A 90s music legend is to appear in Stroud next year.
Shaun Ryder, lead singer of the Happy Mondays, is to appear at the Sub Rooms on Thursday, October 10, 2024.
Happy Mondays hits include Step On and Kinky Afro, as they rose to prominence in the late 80s and early 90s.
Ryder was part of the Madchester scene and he also formed Black Grape with former Happy Mondays star Bez.
He also made a famous appearance on TFI Friday, a popular entertainment program hosted by Chris Evans in the 90s.
His colorful language and unpredictable behaviour led to a live, unscripted exchange that pushed the boundaries of live television at the time.
Shaun Ryder was also runner-up of the 10th edition of I'm a Celebrity in 2010.
