TWO ARTISAN producers at Five Valleys’ indoor market have recently appeared on a Channel 4 show, A Cotswold Farm Shop.

Based around Gloucester Services, the series features Non Solo Pasta and The Artisan Baker across two episodes of the six part series.

Telling the back story of how the traders came to learn their craft, the show delves into the challenges and successes experienced by small, artisan producers today.

Based at Stroud’s indoor market at Five Valleys, the two traders have seen popularity and footfall soar off the back of the show.

Ori Hellestein, owner of The Artisan Baker, showed viewers his new and unique range of vegan pastries being introduced for the first time at Gloucester Services.

He said: “I’m so delighted to be working closely with Gloucester Services, it has truly transformed my business in these difficult times for the hospitality industry, enabling us to keep evolving, creating new jobs and growth. 

"I couldn’t be happier seeing our products on the bread counter as soon as you walk into the services!” 

At the same time husband and wife team from Non Solo Pasta, Clara and Matteo Cardillo, revealed Clara’s mum’s signature Panettone on the show resulting in a large order from the services for their upcoming Christmas sales period. 

Co-owner, Clara said: “Featuring on A Cotswold Farm Shop was a great honour. We are really proud to present our family, business and our achievements. We received a great response from shoppers to the point where we had to open the pre-order for Christmas Panettone two months early.

“We are also receiving much interest from Italian food distributors for our arancini and panettone and couldn’t be happier from the response following the show.”

The two traders both opened at the market within the last three years and have established themselves in the foodie community.

Centre manager at Five Valleys, Jack Simpson, said: “It was fantastic to see two of our lovely traders on Channel 4 recently and we are proud to spread the message far and wide that people can get their wonderful produce, as well as a host of other foodie delights, from right here in the town centre at Five Valleys.”

Woodchester Valley Vineyard also featured in the series.
