A WARRANT has been issued for the arrest of a shoplifter from Stroud who failed to appear in court.
Fox Johnston, aged 40, of Target Close, Stroud, has admitted multiple thefts from various shops in the town.
He was due to be sentenced at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on Thursday but failed to attend leading to an arrest warrant being issued.
At a previous hearing on August 3, Johnston admitted stealing cosmetics worth £25 from Boots in Stroud on January 17.
He also admitted stealing meat products worth £64 from the Co-op in Slad Road on February 1, meat products, cheese, and ice-cream worth £162 from the same Co-op on February 12 and alcohol and meat products worth £73 from Waitrose in Stroud on February 22.
The total amount stolen was more than £300.
According to court documents, magistrates were due to consider making Johnston the subject of a Criminal Behaviour Order.
