A 'controversial' journalist will appear in Stroud this week.
Katie Hopkins is set to appear at the Old Convent in Beeches Green on Thursday night.
Hopkins is known for her controversial views and in 2020 managed to get herself permanently suspended by Twitter for violating the social network’s hateful conduct policy.
She rose to fame in 2007 as a contestant on the third series of The Apprentice and later became a columnist for newspapers including The Sun and The Daily Mail.
Tickets, which cost £22, have now sold out.
A protest is being planned by Community Solidarity Stroud District before the event.
The group said: "We're organising a protest against her "comedy show" in Stroud. Full details to follow.
"We will be outside the venue - trying to persuade people not to attend as they arrive, and making as much noise of possible once the event starts."
The group has a Facebook page for the event here - tinyurl.com/2nak99jy
