A MAN has been found guilty of twice assaulting a woman in a case of domestic violence.
Jack Martin, aged 32, of Victoria Drive, Eastington, had denied two charges of assaulting the woman and causing actual bodily harm at a location in Gloucester.
The first assault happened between May 22 and May 26 this year while the second was on May 29.
He was found guilty at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on August 10 and sentenced on Friday, August 25.
The case was labelled as 'urgent' on the court register due to it being a 'domestic violence case'.
A community order with rehabilitation requirements was imposed which requires Martin to comply with conditions by February 24, 2025.
He must also complete 120 hours of unpaid work within the next year and pay a £114 surcharge plus costs of £775 - a total of £889 which must be paid by September 22.
According to the court register, no compensation was ordered because it was not requested by the victim, who wishes the relationship to continue.
