A PENSIONER from Stroud has appeared in court for failing to comply with a community protection notice.
Retired seaman Martin Solomon, aged 77, of Farmhill Lane, Stroud, breached the order on various dates between October 30, 2022 and May 11 this year.
The breaches occurred on October 30 and 31, November 1, 2, and 3, November 18, 21, and 26, December 11 and 12, April 30, May 1, and May 11.
Solomon entered a guilty plea on August 7 at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court to a charge of failing to comply with the protection notice He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and must pay £50 in cost.
In addition, a CRIMBO - Criminal Behaviour Order - was issued for 12 months.
Under the terms of the order, Solomon is banned from creating loud or ongoing noise such as shouting, using offensive or threatening words or playing amplified noise such as his TV loudly at his home or in the vicinity of that address.
Three years ago, Solomon was ordered to pay £500 compensation to a neighbour who he had harassed, threatened and 'tormented' with foul language, bonfires and loud music.
